Adventure Gallery
Through these projects and adventures, I support my clients as they build skills around their interests. I find it particularly impactful to engage in our activities in the context of anxiety-reducing locations such as forests and waterfronts.
This helps them engage in new tasks with comfort, joy, and an open mind.
We operate at our greatest capacity when we have a felt sense of freedom and are connected to our self-worth.
I sought permission from the families to post these pictures and I have covered the faces of their children to protect their privacy.
The puget sound is an incredible resource that I have an intimate relationship with.
Accessing the waterfront is often within the capacity of most children. What I particularly appreciate is its broad appeal. If a child is willing to leave the house, It's a fair assumption that I can connect an interest of theirs to tide pools.
Sometimes it's as simple as being interested in the multitude of animals that are present. Or the interest may be more sensory seeking toward the different textures. I have connected tide pools to science fiction ideas, horror conceptualization, and imaginative exploration.
